10 Innovative Travel Pillows You HAVE To See!
Resting while traveling is a definite must, but is difficult or even impossible for many travelers, no matter now seasoned. If you’re a regular traveler, there’s no doubt that you’ve tried many methods that just didn’t cut it. You know you’ve tried rolling up your jacket as a pillow, slept on a friend’s shoulder, or spent too much money on a travel pillow that just pushed your head forward and made you slobber more.
Moving past the standard, not-so-successful-at-getting-sleep, you-prolly-gonna-have-a-crick-in-your-neck travel pillows, some incredibly innovative pillows are available right now. And you need to see them!
Two thoughts I had immediately when viewing these various pillows: 1. “The future is now.” and 2. “Why didn’t I think of that?”

The design of the FaceCradle is incredible. It can be used in the same way as a traditional U-shaped travel pillow, but also morphs into various other positions for ultimate travel sleep!
The FaceCradle’s different positions are called “modes.”
Dozing Mode is like a traditional U-shaped pillow.
In Snoozing Mode, the two halves create an angle that supports (cradles!) the head in the side-sleeping position. No need for a window seat!
Table Nap Mode allows you to sleep comfortably on a tray table or desktop without restricting your face or breathing.
Deep Sleep Mode allows the user to lean forward, fully supported, sleeping with face forward or to the side. In all modes, the FaceCradle acts like the head rest of a massage table which allows you to breathe with no restrictions.
The FaceCradle can be purchased from the official website, facecradle.me.
2. Infinity Pillow
Shaped like an infinity scarf, the Infinity Pillow is a loop of comfort that can be molded into various shapes for different sleeping positions.
It can cradle the neck, be used against a window (or a loving friend’s shoulder, of course), as back support, or used to lean forward onto the tray table (which means it’s also useful for those desk naps at the office!).
Get creative and use it as a sleep mask or even a cushion for your tushy!
This bad boy is machine washable, hypoallergenic, and anti-bacterial. How much love do you have for this pillow? Infinite, right?
3. Nap Anywhere
Nap Anywhere provides the head and neck support you need for successful sleep without being a traditional pillow.
Besides the fact that you’ll actually get some z’s, the Nap Anywhere is unique in that it folds flat, so you can stick it in your backpack or briefcase with no problem!
The biggest flaw with traditional U-shaped travel pillows is that they tend to push the head forward. The solution? This simple fix known as the SkySiesta!
With a cushion on either side of the head, the SkySiesta provides the support you need on either side without the extra padding in the back that results in the head or neck being pushed forward.
Comes with removable cover for washing and a bag that can be attached to carry-on luggage.
5. FLEXi Convertible Travel Pillow
The FLEXi Convertible Travel Pillow allows for multiple sleeping positions. Who likes to stay in just one position for an extended amount of time?
The FLEXi can be used when you’re sitting straight up OR leaning to the side, with head and neck supports to prevent your muscles from cramping.
Unclip the pillow and straighten it out for a pillow top that can be used on the tray table surface.
Need some back support? The FLEXi can be used as a lumbar support as well.
The outer layer comes off and is machine washable, and the pillow comes with a carrying case that can be attached to carry-on luggage.
6. Sleeper Scarf
Talk about a travel accessory! The Sleeper Scarf is genius for travelers who don’t want to lug around a traditional travel pillow. No one will even know you have one…until you inflate it!
The Sleeper Scarf looks like a normal infinity scarf. Simple colors and designs that can go with any outfit, worn by any person.
When you’re ready for that nap, a secret zipped compartment is opened to reveal an inflatable travel pillow inside. With a few breaths, you are now ready for that snooze!
Purchase your Sleeper Scarf from the official website, sleeperscarf.com. Sleeper Scarf has graciously extended a 20% discount for Just Chasing Rabbits readers with code GET20 at checkout!
The J-Pillow is a simple solution for those of us who like to sleep against the window. A normal travel pillow will only cushion the side of your head. The J-Pillow provides a cushion for your head AND support for your chin to keep the head from rolling forward. No one likes a case of the head-bobs, am I right?
This item is a best-seller on Amazon.
Keep in mind that this pillow is most-useful when in a window seat versus a middle or aisle seat, though it seems like the extra chin support would still beat out a normal travel pillow in comfort no matter where you sit.
The Trtl is more like a super-supportive scarf. The neck wrap has internal ribbing that supports the head and neck as you sleep.
The flexible nature of the Trtl allows it to be molded to fit your shape comfortably (without having to lean on a window!) and also allows for easy packing.
The hypo-allergenic fleece is machine washable.
Who minds looking like a “Trtl” when you’re this comfortable?!
9. Little Cloud Nine Travel Pillow
When I was in school, I could sleep on the bus with no problem by leaning forward onto my huge backpack in my lap. The Little Cloud Nine Travel Pillow reminds me of my school bus naps.
There’s no doubt that leaning forward is comfortable and can produce some serious sleep. An added bonus? The Little Cloud Nine conceals your face as you nap. This eliminates the need for an eye mask (and can conceal your drool if you’re one of those drippy sleepers!).
The pillow description says it inflates with just a few breaths, so it should deflate down to an easily-packable size. The holes provide ventilation so that you don’t overheat in your own sleep-breath.
Will people give you some crazy looks as you disappear into your little ostrich hole? Probably. But, what do you care? You can’t see them, and you’ll be getting better sleep than they do!
The Travelrest adds upper-body support as well as head and neck support. The pillow is inflatable, and, when deflated, is super tiny for easy packing.
Travelrest is washable and, according to the Amazon description, comes with a 2-year warranty.
On long journeys, who couldn’t use a little extra support?
